In today’s day and age, what would we be doing if social media didn’t exist? It wouldn’t seem right not checking our social media channels on a daily basis.
Global Social Media
Did you know that nearly half the world is now online in some way or another? As well as that, there’s also more than two billion people in the global population that now have a social media account that they post on regularly.
Social Media Growth
Nowadays, there are so many different social platforms for us to post our images, views, opinions and reviews onto! The biggest, of course, is the social giant Facebook, which is still the dominant channel. At the moment, they have an amazing 1.5 billion users, which is growing on a daily basis and is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The second most popular is the Google-owned video sharing platform YouTube with an incredible one billion users. More visually based platforms like Instagram and Snapchat are on the rise with more and more users signing up.
Pixel Road Designs have designed this insightful infographic, which takes a look at the growth in social media from the year 2010 to 2015. Looking at this infographic one thing is for certain: in most cases, mobile is the place to be.
