With Google automatically localising your search results, ensuring websites are appropriately represented within the local search is becoming more prominent. Customers are searching for the best services or products near them and businesses want to make sure they are seen first. That’s where Local SEO comes in – SEO that focuses on optimisation for those precious local search results.
During June, KW Digital had a particular focus on local SEO for our clients. Our aim was to ensure wider visibility in strategic geographical areas, as well as boosting keyword ranking within locational search results.

- Google My Business optimisation: This included ensuring all address information, imagery, critical URL’s, tags and categories were appropriately targeting local search results for our clients.
- Google review strategies: This involved KW supporting the generation of reviews from our customers, as well as contributing toward boosting authority on Google via informative and constructive customer feedback.
- Strategic Google My Business posting: This involved ensuring all future Google My Business posts featured a strong call to action, engaging imagery and above all, targeted keywords which customers would be searching for locally. As a result, this will appear within the Maps feature of SERPS.
- Generation of local business citations: This involved seeking out local business directories with high domain authority and low spam scores which can help widen visibility and increase local presence.
