Allcocks Outdoor Store is a leading supplier of outdoor products, including air rifles, fishing tackle and high quality technical clothing. The store was established over ten years ago and, since then, the company has flourished. Allcocks’ experience in the industry means they have the knowledge to assist anyone with their outdoor purchases, from first time buyers to seasoned shooters and fishermen, ensuring they supply the right product for all abilities.

Project Brief

Allcocks Outdoor Store approached KW Digital regarding a new e-commerce website that would drive online sales. This required extensive project management, from the technical creation of a Magento e-commerce site, through to the design of a sleek WordPress frontend, and ongoing SEO optimised content.

On completion of the website, Allcocks requested a proposal for a monthly digital marketing strategy, with the goal of increasing the company’s online presence and reaching the top of the search engine results pages (SERPs). It was decided that PPC should also be undertaken, in order to compete for relevant keywords and maximise the budget. We were also asked to look after Allcocks’ social media in order to boost their social referral.

When developing Allcocks’ website, we conducted extensive competitor and keyword research in order to ensure their site could reach its full potential, supplying a solution to the problems Allcocks faced with their previous website. We integrated Linnworks as a stock order management system, which enabled Allcocks to push through fully configurable products to eBay and Amazon. We also affected a dramatic increase in page load speed, to improve the customer experience, and implemented a custom shipping module for restricted category products, such as firearms.

During the creation of the website, we conducted keyword research for SEO and PPC purposes. The keyword research was transformed into a keyword strategy document that laid the foundations for all our ongoing content creation and Google AdWords campaigns. Thus improving their organic and paid search presence, and increasing their chances of appearing in the top Google results. We have also delivered ongoing training and support for Allcocks staff in critical aspects of Magento and Linnworks.
